School Council visit to the Welsh Assembly

On Wednesday the new school council visited the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff Bay. Mrs. Dyer and Mrs. Dunn and I accompanied the children to hold a debate in the old council chamber. The children were fantastic ambassadors for Gelli Primry. Our guide for the day, Rhinallt, commented "We love to have children from your area here at the assembly, they're polite, hard woking and really enjoy the whole experience."
We were also met by our Assembly member Mr. Leighton Andrews who talked to the children and agreed to come to school to participate in a school council meeting when his busy schedule allows. Check out the School Council page and the School Council blog for more details.
